ETHICS COMMISSION FINDS FORMER ABC DEPUTY DIRECTOR RICK CRISMAN VIOLATED LAW

RICK CRISMAN, COLE FENNELL & JASON BIGBEE

The Arkansas Ethics Commission, in a decision released October 12, 2015, found (by a 4-0 vote)  that former ABC Deputy Director Rick Crisman violated Arkansas Code Annotated  21-8-301(a) by using his position as Education & Instruction Analyst (Deputy Director) at the ABC to remove, and then return original sample driver's licenses from the ABC office and deliver them to a photographer in order to capture images for use in a smartphone application he was personally developing.

Crisman agreed with the Commission and was issued a Public Letter of Caution.

A complaint to the Department of Finance and Administration in April 2015, led to an internal investigation of Crisman and his immediate resignation.

Perhaps when the tainted ABC Enforcement Director Boyce Hamlet is found to have violated state laws by the Ethics Committee and/or the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney, he will resign as well.
