ABC ENFORCEMENT DIRECTOR BOYCE HAMLET ADMITS HE BROKE LAW - RECEIVES PUBLIC REPRIMAND AND IS DIRECTED TO PAY FINE

ABC ENFORCEMENT DIRECTOR BOYCE HAMLET WILL BE OUT A C NOTE FOR VIOLATION

Tainted ABC Enforcement Director Boyce Hamlet signed an Offer of Settlement with the Arkansas Ethics Commission admitting that he violated Arkansas Code Annotated § 21-8-701(c)(1)(A), by failing to file a mandatory Statement of Financial Interest within thirty days of his appointment to his position.

The complainant (the publisher of this blog) told the Ethics Commission back in August that Hamlet did not want to file that form because it would have reflected that he failed to pay his state income taxes when due (a felony in Arkansas).

It was also pointed out that Hamlet filed a false document with the Department of Finance and Administration when he began employment stating that he owed no taxes and had no liens filed against him.  The issue of his failure to pay taxes when due and a Certificate of Indebtedness being filed against him could cause him to loose his job.

DFA quickly found that Hamlet lied about owing taxes and having a lien filed against him as they ran his name and social security number through their system of deadbeats.  Hamlet had to fork over the cash to keep his appointed position.

We commend all the members of the Arkansas Ethics Commission for having the intestinal fortitude to go against a fellow appointee and hand it to him like they did (all members voted unanimously to make this finding).

It is incredible that Governor Hutchinson keeps this buffoon on the public payroll when he does not meet the minimum qualifications for the position, only holds certification as a parole officer and lied about his employment history for the past 15 years to cover up his hiring and firing by the Arkansas State Police for multiple acts of dishonesty to obtain positions with law enforcement agencies that he would not be able to obtain if he told the truth. Hamlet's long time pattern of lying and filing false documents is undeniable.

Hamlet's presence at the ABC is an embarrassment for Governor Hutchinson and he has no place with any law enforcement organization due to his classification as a Brady Officer.

Yeah Boyce, you technically broke the law. Just like you technically lied and covered up your hiring and firing by the state police (for cheating on an exam and then lied multiple times in an internal investigation) to get jobs as a probation officer, correctional officer, wildlife officer, investigator  and finally ABC enforcement director.

Even in this matter, when Hamlet could simply admit that he violated the law and move on, he lies about it to avoid dealing with the truth. And he didn't deal with the Ethics Commission himself, his attorney did.

Hamlet's whole life is a lie and he needs to man up and admit it.
