PLIGHT OF TAINTED ABC ENFORCEMENT DIRECTOR BOYCE HAMLET IS DETAILED IN NEWSPAPER ARTICLE

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette ran a story today that detailed the lawsuit filed to obtain the Arkansas State Police investigative file on Boyce Hamlet. The story also outlines claims that Hamlet hid his employment, and termination for misconduct, with the Arkansas State Police which allowed him to obtain law enforcement positions which he might not have obtained had he truthfully reported it.

The story was written by award winning reporter, Chelsea Boozer.

Boozer received the Freedom of Information Award in July 2015, which recognizes a singular dedication to preserving transparency in government and enforcing the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act.

Boozer was also named Young Journalist of the Year by the Arkansas Press Association in 2014. She has also won the national College Press Freedom Award.

If the file had simply been turned over (as it ultimately will be), this matter would not be receiving all the attention and media coverage it is now receiving.  Our thanks to Attorney General Leslie Rutledge for making this matter a public concern and getting the information about Hamlet out in the open.

We can hardly wait to hear what Hamlet has to say about the lawsuit.
